Abstract: Commission
on Theoretical Anthropology (COTA) will meet in Antalya and discuss
the questions which could not be raised at Kunming due to the absence
of most paper givers. There will be three paper sessions: 1) Anthropology
and Philosophy; 2) Current Advances in the Anthropological Theory
of the State and 3) Culture Theory across Culture. The first session
will recapitulate the results of the project which already nears
its completion as the would be presenters at Kunming have submitted
their papers to the editors Ananta Kumar Giri and John Clammer.
In Antalya we will discuss the individual papers and the draft of
the introduction written by the editors. In the second session the
participants will evaluate the publication of most papers prepared
for Kunming 2008 in Social Evolution and History 8 (1), 2009. The
third session will examine the latest developments in culture theory
as it is ramified by world cultural diversity.
